John W. Gagin, age 83 peacefully passed away Monday, March 27th 2017, at the Laurens County Hospice, surrounded by his wife Alicia, daughter Kathy, and friends.
He was born in Highland Park, MI, and was a son of the late Thomas and Edna Gagin.
TSgt. Gagin retired from the US Air Force and served during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church.
Surviving are his wife, Alicia Gagin; five children, Kathleen Correa of Chapin, SC, David Gagin of North Carolina, Steve Gagin of Idaho, James Gagin of Virginia Beach, VA, and Flavia Gagin of Panama City, FL; eight grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Nancy Lutz of Idaho, and Beatrice Johnson of Colorado.
Funeral Mass will be Friday, March 31st, at 9:00 AM, at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Laurens. Burial with full military honors will take place Friday, March 31st, at 1:00 PM, at the Fort Jackson National Cemetery in Columbia.
