John E. Cox, Sr.

John E. Cox, Sr. age, 67, of 43 Singing Pines Road died Friday, October 28, 2011 at his home.
He was born in Oconee County and was a son of the late Ernest and Ada Delphia Long Cox.
Mr. Cox was a former employee of the City of Laurens and B.F. Shaw Co.
He was a member of the Rossie Walker Masonic Lodge # 354 and Bellview Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Cox of the home; a son, John E. Cox, Jr. of Greenwood; two daughters, Lynn Whitmire of Clinton and Donna Holder of Laurens; two brothers, Hershel Cox of Oconee County and Harold Cox of Liberty; a sister, Wyline Cook of N. Augusta and 8 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 3:00 p.m. at the Gray Funeral Home Chapel of Laurens with interment in the Bellview Baptist Church Cemetery
The family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
