John "Jr" Henry Mars, Jr.

John “Jr” H. Mars, Jr., age 71 of 18397 Hwy 121, died Friday, July 31, 2009 in the White Oak Manor in Newberry.
He was born in Newberry and was the son of the late John H. Mars, Sr. and the late Ella Mae Lindler Mars.
Mr. Mars was retired from Cone Mills, served in the SC National Guard, was a member of the Roseboro Masonic Lodge and Hejaz Shrine Temple. He was a charter and lifetime member of the H.O.G. in Spartanburg and a member of the Heritage Wesleyan Church.
Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Annie Earwood Mars of the home; a son, Troy Mars and wife, Laura of Chapin and two grandchildren, Wade “Bennett” Mars and Zander John Mars.
He was predeceased by one son, Dennis Wade Mars.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, Aug. 3rd at 11:00 a.m. in the Heritage Wesleyan Church with burial in the Whitmire Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
