Johnnie Durham Galloway

Johnnie Durham Galloway, age 90, of Langston House, died Thursday, March 13, 2014, at the Laurens County Hospital.
She was born in Charlotte and was the daughter of the late Ernest Lee and Zenobia Schweiger Durham. She was the widow of Morris Monroe Galloway Sr., and they made their home together first in Charlotte, NC, and then in Decatur, GA. She was active in service to her church and in ministries to children, missionaries and prisoners.
Mrs. Galloway is survived by her son Morris M. Galloway Jr., (Susan) of Clinton; her four grandchildren, John M. Galloway (Cassie), David E. Galloway, Joseph D. Galloway (Stephanie) and Matthew A. Galloway; and her sister Joy Rorie of Monroe, NC.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, March 17th at 4:30 p.m. at Bethany Presbyterian Church, Clinton.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, March 18th at 2:00 p.m. at Sharon Memorial Park in Charlotte, NC.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m., Sunday, March 16th, at the funeral home. Memorial gifts may be made to the Potter’s House ( www.pottershouse.org.gt ) or Child Evangelism Fellowship ( www.cefonline.com ) or to a charity of one’s choice.
