John William (Bill) Abrams

John William (Bill) Abrams, age 96, formerly of 111 E. Walnut St. died Sunday, August 22, 2010 in the Hospice House of Laurens County.
He was born in Laurens County and was the son of the late John William and Estelle Ramage Abrams.
Mr. Abrams was a 1938 graduate of Gupton-Jones Mortuary School in Nashville, TN . He was retired from Gray Funeral Home and continued to work at Whitten Center where he retired in 1982.
He was a member of Broad St. United Methodist Church and served on numerous committees; Sunday School Superintendant , Past Chairman of the Building Committee and Past President of the VIMS also Past President of the Lions Club
He is survived by his wife, Lois Moore Abrams of Clinton.
Memorial services will be conducted Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in Broad Street United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends immediately after the service.
