Joseph Wayne "Peewee" Leopard

 Joseph Wayne “Peewee” Leopard, age 76, of Joanna, widower of Frances Kirkland Leopard, passed away, Sunday, February 23, 2025 at his brothers home. 

 He was born December 15, 1948 in Newberry County, SC, and was the son of the late, Elbert Leopard and Josie Turner Leopard. He retired from the SC Department of Transportation after 32 years of dedicated service. Peewee loved everyone and had a special place in his heart for children. He was a member of Breakthrough Tabernacle Church.

 Peewee is survived by his brothers, Billy Leopard (Carolyn), and Nelson Lemuel Leopard (Ann), both of Clinton; his sister, Marilyn Miller (Marvin) of Pomaria; sixteen grandchildren; thirty-five great grandchildren; nineteen great-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and his beloved fur baby, Dolly.

 In addition to his parents, Peewee was preceded in death by his stepsons, Earl Gillian, Terry Gillian, Duane Gillian, Donald Gillian, Kenneth Gillian, and Wesley Gillian; his siblings, Elbert Leopard, Samuel Leopard, H.C. Leopard, and Linda Brown; and three grandchildren. 

 Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at Breakthrough Tabernacle with Rev. Karl Mosier officiating. Burial will follow at Pinelawn Memory Gardens.

 The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1-2 PM at the Church. 

 The family will be at the home of his brother, 176 Old Leopard Road, Clinton, SC 29325.

 Gray Funeral Home of Clinton is assisting the Leopard family with services.
