Joseph D. Medlin, 82, of 882 Sunset Blvd, passed away Friday, October 7, 2016, at NHC of Clinton.
He was born in Ware Shoals and was a son of the late Luther Starlin and Gertrude Gilmer Medlin.
Mr. Medlin is survived by his wife, Dorothy “Dot” Medlin; his sons, Joseph “Mike” Medlin, and wife Brenda, of Ware Shoals, Timothy Wayne Medlin of Greenville, and James Brian Medlin, and wife Brenda, of Greenwood, and Michael E. Ballew of Hickory, NC; his daughter, Sandra “Sandi” Jacks of Irmo; his sisters, Margaret Giles and Gencie Vaughn; his grandchildren, Ashley Salter and Brittany Medlin; and his great-grandchildren, McKenzie Williams, Jayce Medlin, Brayden Medlin and Kade Vanderford.
He was predeceased by a sister, Frances Coker, and a granddaughter, Jody Jacks.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 10th, at 2:00 PM in the Gray Funeral Home Chapel of Clinton, with burial at Pinelawn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends an hour before the service from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
