Joseph Jerry (Dad) Simmons

Joseph Jerry (Dad) Simmons age 67, of 307 Gordon Street, died Sunday
February 7, 2010 at his home.
He was born in Enoree and was a son of the late Rob and Venoree Hames Simmons.
Mr. Simmons was a former employee of Clinton Mills and was retired from Wal-Mart and the National Guard. He was a member of the Open Arms Ministry.
He is survived by his wife, Raye Shelton Simmons of the home; a daughter, Melinda Simmons of Clinton; a sister, Barbara Jean Wicker of Waterloo; three grandchildren, Joey Simmons, Austin Lanier, and Casey Lanier; and two great grandchildren, Kale Simmons and Bryson Simmons.
Mr. Simmons was predeceased by two sons, Barry Simmons and Michael Simmons; and two brothers, Charles Simmons and Bobbie Simmons.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. in the Gray Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Pinelawn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
