Joyce Sims Hunnicutt

Mrs. Joyce Sims Hunnicutt, age 86, of Horseshoe Circle, widow of Billy Robert Hunnicutt died Wednesday, December 25, 2019 at Langston Place in Clinton.
She was a daughter of the late Lee Blackburn Sims and Lougenia Sims McCarley, and step-father, Alec McCarley.
Mrs. Hunnicutt was a member of the First Baptist Church in Whitmire. She was a graduate of Whitmire High School, Class of “51” and was retired from Cone Mills.
She was survived by her sons, Robbie (Teresa) Hunnicutt, Scott (Sheila) Hunnicutt; three grandchildren, Jamie H. Metzelfeld, Amber (Aric) Davis and Leslie Elmi. Three great-grandchildren, Owen Metzelfeld, Jacob Metzelfeld and Addison Weaver; one sister, Linda S. Hurt of West Columbia.
In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by her brothers, Sonny Sims and Charles Lee Sims, Sr.; and a sister, Betty Bragg.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, December 29, 2019 at 3:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Whitmire with burial in Whitmire Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the church.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Whitmire, 173 Glenn Street, Whitmire, SC 29178 or Crescent Hospice, 105 Lovett Drive, Greenville, SC 29607.
The family will be at the home of her son, Scott Hunnicutt, 491 Lovers Lane, Whitmire, SC 29178.
