Juanita Lee Elwood, age 78 of 105 South 4th St. and the widow of Homer E. Elwood, Sr. died Monday, May 1st at her home.
She was born in Jonesville, SC and was a daughter of the late James Russell and Oda Bell Cook Lee.
Mrs. Elwood was a member of the Lockhart First Baptist Church, and was a local Avon representative for a number of years.
Surviving are her children, Loree Yarborough of Chester, Marjorie Childers and husband Arnold of Union, Bonnie Crocker and husband Steve of Gaffney, Homer Elwood, Jr. and wife Annette of Laurens, Gina Harris and husband Joey of Lockhart; three brothers, Robert Lee of Lockhart, Olin Lee and Mack Lee both of Union; a very special niece, Ruth Crocker of Inman; nine grandchildren, Cecil Lee Yarborough and wife Michelle, Monica Vlock and husband Scott, Jason Childers and wife Catherine, Kristin and Katelyn Crocker, Zachary and Hunter Elwood, Samantha and Jessica Harris; seven great grandchildren, Lee and Stanley Yarborough, Abigail, Graham and Anna Vlock and William and Warren Childers.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, May 4th at 2:00 p.m. at the Lockhart First Baptist Church with burial in the Lockhart Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Lockhart.
