Juanita Lily Dickert Pitts

Juanita Dickert Pitts died February 11, 2011 at the age of 96.
She spent much of her life in the Trinity community of Silverstreet but in 1990 retired to the Presbyterian Home in Clinton.
Juanita was one of seven children born to Rachel Garrett and John Henry Dickert. She was a graduate of Silverstreet High School.
On the longest night of 1935, she married William Oscar Pitts and over the years their family created a successful farm and dairy.
She lost William on Jan. 26, 1996, after 61 years of marriage.
Juanita Pitts was the mother of sons and daughters-in-law, Walter and Barbara Pitts of Valle Crucis, NC and Wade and Frances Pitts of Newberry. She was also mom to grandchildren, Cindy Pitts of Silverstreet, Kathy Pitts of Colorado and Scott Pitts of California.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, February 14th at 4:00 p.m. at the Smyrna Presbyterian Church in Newberry. The family will greet friends following the service in the fellowship hall of the church.
