Julia Sadler Mccrae

Julia Sadler McCrae died peacefully on June 2, 2018, with her adoring children at her side.
She was born in Clinton, South Carolina on July 18, 1949. Julia, the second eldest daughter of Rufus Earle Sadler and Mary Doherty Sadler, graduated from Clinton High School in 1967 and received a degree in physical therapy from University of Florida in 1971.

Julia is survived by her children, Stephen Richards McCrae III and his wife, Emily, and Janet Sadler McCrae; her two beloved grandchildren, Madeline Laura McCrae and Julia Grace McCrae; her sisters, Virginia Sadler Suber (Andy), Nancy Doherty Sadler (Mac), and Dr. Patricia Earle Sadler (Walt); her eleven nieces and nephews, Mary Parker Turnipseed, Nancy Sadler Turnipseed, Kathleen Sadler Turnipseed, Sara Hopkins Tyer (Kevin), Catherine Hopkins Arthurs (Greg), Julia Mitchell Renken (Robby), Evelyn Murdaugh Mitchell (Craig), David Carl Mitchell Jr. (Hollie), Walter Moorhead Hughes III, Virginia Bradley Hughes (Andrew), and Caroline Sadler Hughes; and her 10 grandnieces and nephews, Owen Tyer, Sadler Tyer, William Arthurs, Bradley Arthurs, Robert Renken IV, Sadler Renken, Mac Link, Elliott Smith, Lucy Ruff, and Katie Ruff. She is predeceased by her sisters, Sara Sadler Turnipseed and Mary Bradley Sadler, and her parents, Rufus and Mary.

Julia was a talented physical therapist who loved assisting her patients, but her most important job was being a devoted mother to Stephen and Janet, whom she loved deeply and to whom she gave everything. She was loved and admired by many in her professional and church communities, and she will be greatly missed.

A visitation with the family will take place at 1:00 PM on Monday, June 11, 2018, at St. Boniface Church in Joanna, South Carolina. The Memorial Service will be at 2:00 PM at St. Boniface Church with an interment at First Presbyterian Church in Clinton, South Carolina to follow.

Memorials in lieu of flowers may be made to St. Boniface Church, 401 N. Main Street, Joanna, SC 29351.
