Julia Mae H. Yarborough

Julia Mae H. Yarborough, age 82, widower of Virgil “Bo” Yarborough, passed away, Friday, September 29, 2023.
She was born February 14, 1941 in Joanna, South Carolina and was the daughter of the late James Burley and Julia Victoria Wallace Humphrey. Julia retired from Asten Johnson and was member of Joanna First Baptist Church, where she also sang in the choir. Her hobbies included painting, writing, refinishing furniture and crafts of all kinds.
She is survived by her son, Russell Yarborough and daughter-in-law Janice Yarborough of Joanna; her sister, Mary Dale Turner of Laurens; her grandchildren, Michael Yarborough (Kerry), Julie Ward (Matthew) and Alyssa Yarborough-Wells (Nick); her great-grandchildren, Noah, Rose and Aty Yarborough, Kaleb and Walker Ward, Haven Blackwell and Zaiden Barker.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, October 5, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Joanna First Baptist Church with Rev Austin Williams officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be sent to Joanna First Baptist Church, 301 Magnolia Street, Joanna, SC 29351.
The family is at the home of her granddaughter, 425 Browning Avenue, Joanna, SC.
