J. W. "Bootsie" Caldwell

J. W. “Bootsie” Caldwell, age 80 of 1735 Young Road and widower of Ame Young Caldwell, died Wednesday, July 1, 2009.
He was born in Laurens County and was a son of the late Eugene and Virginia Langston Caldwell.
He was a retired service station owner with Gulf and Texaco; a member of Hurricane Baptist Church; a member of Campbell Lodge #44 and a Shriner with the Hejaz Temple.
Surviving are three daughters and sons-in-law, Kay and Billy Glenn and Vickie Cheek all of Clinton and Nancy and Rod Thomas of Sumter, three sisters, seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a son-in-law, Ronnie Cheek.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, July 3rd at 5:00 p.m. in Hurricane Baptist Church with burial in Hurricane Baptist Church Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Charity of One’s choice.
The family will be at his home where they will receive friends.
