Kathy Elizabeth Metts Beach
January 24, 1951 — July 26, 2019
Kathy Metts Beach, age 68, of 119 James Road, passed away Friday, July 26, 2019 at her home.
She was born in Joanna, SC and was a daughter of the late George Hubert Metts and Marcie O’Shields Metts. She was a member of the Epworth United Methodist Church. Kathy was a loving caregiver to many, her servant’s heart was full of love for everyone. She always was thinking of others and finding ways to give to them either with some gift or with her prayers. Her loving spirit lives on with those she shared her love with.
Mrs. Beach is survived by her husband of 48 years, Jimmy Lane Beach; her two daughters, Michele Knighton (Nick) of Joanna and Laney and Alex Alexander of Myrtle Beach, SC; her two sisters, Sylvia Littleton (Jerry) of Joanna and Carolyn Wessel (Scott) of Waterloo; her three grandchildren, Nicholas Knighton (Brittany), Cassidy Martin (Timothy), and Heather Constance (Keith); her three great-grandchildren, Nicholas Knighton, Easton and Wyatt Constance.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 30, 2019 in Pinelawn Memory Gardens Mausoleum Chapel at 5:30 PM. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the Mausoleum Chapel from 4:30 to 5:30 PM.
Kathy’s family request that memorial donations be made to Haddon Strong/Prayer Warrior Foundation, C/O Makayla and Lee Norris, PO Box 637, Newberry, SC 29108, they know she would rather continue to give to someone rather than receive for herself.
The family will be at the home of her daughter, Michele and Nick Knighton, 421 Byrnes Street, Joanna, SC 29351.
