Kay Garner Tinsley

 Kay Garner Tinsley, age 78, widow of Robert Tinsley passed away Friday, September 20, 2024 at the home.

 She was born August 25, 1946 in Newberry, SC and was a daughter of the late Nelson and Ruth Saylors Garner.

 Kay worked at AstenPress for 18 years before starting her career in the insurance business. She was a member of the Clinton First Baptist Church and organized the GriefShare Program at the church. She loved her family, serving in her church, singing in the choir and traveling. Kay was the life of the party and enjoyed planning family birthdays, holidays and trips.

 Surviving is her son, Jeff Tinsley of Clinton; sister, Joyce Cordell (Wade) of Greenville; sister-in-law, Dianne Garner of Shelby, NC and many nieces and nephews.

 In addition to her parents and husband Kay was predeceased by a brother, Harold Garner and a sister and brother-in-law, Ann Parkman (Irvin).

 Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2024 at 2:00 PM in the Clinton First Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Blake Harwell officiating. Burial will follow at Pinelawn Memory Garden and Mausoleum.

 The family will receive friends the hour before from 1:00 to 2:00 PM the service at the church in the sanctuary.

 In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Clinton First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 95, Clinton, SC 29325.
