Kenneth Manning Griffin

 Kenneth “Ken” Manning Griffin, age 60, passed away Saturday, August 31, 2024, at the Prisma Health Hillcrest Hospital in Simpsonville.

 He was born April 29, 1964, in Greenwood, SC and was the son of the late Frank Griffin and Shelba Jean Nelson Thompson. Due to illness, Ken retired from the GE Gas Turbine Manufacturing, but that never discouraged him from doing what he loved. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding his Harley. He will be affectionately remembered as a father figure and uncle to many who knew him.

 Mr. Griffin is survived by his son, Brandon Griffin (Madison) of Gray Court; his grandson, Kenneth Bo Griffin; his siblings, Tammie Finley of Woodruff and Frankie Gene Griffin (Marla) of New Smyrna Beach, FL; his nieces and nephews, Kayce Jean Moore, Johnathan Finley, Chelsea McDonald, and Cole Griffin.

We invite you to join us in celebrating the life of Kenneth “Griffo” Griffin at Pour Choices in Woodruff (10195 US-221 Unit 4, Woodruff, SC 29388) on Saturday, November 16th, starting at 5:30 PM. 

We’ll be receiving family and friends during the first hour or two, then celebrating Griffo’s life along with my 31st birthday. I encourage all of Ken’s family and friends to come out and help us honor a wonderful man who was deeply loved by so many. 

Pour Choices will have a full menu and drinks available for purchase, so please come ready to fellowship with us during this special time. 

If any of Ken’s biker friends would like to organize a ride-in, that would be amazing! We’ll have motorcycle parking and a full lot for cars as well. 

Everyone who knew and loved Ken is welcome. Thank you, and we look forward to celebrating together on Saturday the 16th.
