Kent Wysor Ivey age 85 of 112 E. Maple Street and widow of Lt. Col. (retired) Benjamin Franklin Ivey, Jr. passed away Saturday, April 19th, 2014 at the Greenville Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Colon, Panama and was a daughter of the late Robert E. Wysor, Jr. Col. (retired) and the late Sarah Bell Wysor.
Mrs. Ivey attended Mary Baldwin College in Stanton, VA, also Eastman School of Music in Rochester, N.Y. and was a graduate of Winthrop College. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Clinton and the Actaeon Club. She was very proud to have been an Army daughter and wife.
Surviving are two sons, Michael Ivey (Carissa) of Greenville, Frank Ivey of Irving, TX; a daughter, Cindy Ivey of Aiken; two granddaughters, Mary Catherine Ivey and Sullivan Ivey and a grandson, Ben Ivey.
A memorial service will be conducted Wednesday, April 23rd at 3:00 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Clinton.
The family will receive friends following the memorial service at the home, 112 E. Maple Street, Clinton, SC.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The Wysor – Ivey Scholarship Fund at Presbyterian College or to The First Presbyterian Church of Clinton Endowment Fund.
