Lalla Padget Mcdaniel

Lalla Belle Padget McDaniel, age 87., and widow of Joseph Cullen McDaniel, died Tuesday, May 15, 2012 in the Laurens County Hospital.

She was born in Saluda, SC and was the daughter of the late Henry Dewitt and Mattie Bodie Padget.

She is survived by her daughter, Janice M. Hicks and son-in-law, Donald W. Hicks, of Rock Hill, SC. She is also survived by a grandson, 2nd Lt Andrew M. Hicks, his wife Kate, and granddaughter Ella Grace of Camp Pendleton, CA.

Mrs. McDaniel was predeceased by a sister, Louise, and two brothers, Henry and Ernest Padget.
Mrs. McDaniel was a graduate of Limestone College and taught in the Clinton school district for over 30 years. She had also been an active member of Alpha Delta Kappa Education Sorority.

Mrs. McDaniel was a member of the Faith Sunday School Class and First Baptist Church for over 65 years.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 18th at the First Baptist Church. The family will receive friends in the Church Parlor before the service from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m.. Burial will be at Rosemont Cemetery, immediately following the service.
