Larry Furman Blume

Larry Furman Blume, 71, of Gray Court, S. C., went home to be with the Lord on November 10, 2015.
Born November 14, 1943 in Blythewood, S. C. he was a son of the late Elbert David Blume and Gladys Carroll Blume. Larry was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He worked in construction work all of his life as a heavy equipment operator lastly with Martin Brothers in Gray Court, S. C.
Larry was always a happy person and enjoyed his work so much that when he retired he did not like not being busy so he went back to work until his wife’s health necessitated his second retirement.
Survivors include his wife Geraldine Bullard Blume; sons, Larry Gerald (Debra), Mark Blaine (Becky), Matthew Wayne (Pam); daughters, Karen Lynn (Darryl), Cheryl Ann (Lori); sisters, Peggy Blume Norton Jeffcoat, of Blythewood, S. C., Louise Blume Trimble of Lexington, S. C. and Gloria Blume(Herbert) Hobgood of Winnsboro, S. C.
In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his brother David Samuel “Pete”
Blume and a sister Estelle Lail Martin.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 13th at 3 PM at the Gray Funeral Home Chapel of Laurens with burial in Westview Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends before the service from 1 to 3 PM at the funeral home.
