Larry "Bubba" Long

Larry “Bubba” Long, age 72, widower of Emma Jane Sessoms Long of Clinton passed away Friday, March 9, 2018 at the National Health Care Of Clinton.
He was born in Newberry and was a son of the late Carl and Catherine Bowers Long.
Mr. Long graduated Newberry High School, and was a life-long fan as well as a graduate of Clemson University in 1969. He was a U.S. Army veteran and later retired as a Lieutenant Colonel from the South Carolina National Guard after 20 years of service.
He is survived by his two daughters; Lisa Jane Long Chapman (John) of Clinton and Laura Long Richardson of Chapin; his seven grandchildren, Johnathan Shiflet, Alyssa Shiflet, Morgan Richardson, Emma Richardson, Lauren Chapman, Landon Chapman, and Lyvia Chapman; his two sisters, Beth Dills (Mike) and Barbara Stanford (Michael).
A Memorial Service will be conducted Friday, March 16, 2018 at 5 PM at the First Baptist Church of Clinton. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church.
