Laurie Diane Mccoy

Laurie Diane McCoy, age 63, resident of Whitmire, SC, was called home January 14th 2024 at 7:19 PM.
Laurie was born February 2, 1960 in South Bend, IN to the late Cecil McCoy and Norma Nipper. She resided most of her life in South Bend, IN until moving to Whitmire, SC in 2014 with her significant other of 23 years, David Godfrey. She worked at Niles Precision for many years until becoming disabled. Throughout her life she enjoyed painting ceramics, crocheting, camping, fishing, going on many different trips and spending time with her grandchildren. She will be missed by many.
She is survived by her significant other David Godfrey; her daughter Brandy Lopez; her sons Steven Banasiewicz and Brian Banasiewicz; her grandchildren, Caleb Lopez, Brianna Wylie, Braidin Banasiewicz, Blake Sparks and Braxton Sparks; her sisters, Doris Strasser, Lou Ann Gurbick, Michelle Nipper; and her brothers, Mark McCoy, Cecil McCoy Jr. and Danny Nipper Jr.; she is also survived by many nieces, nephews and great friends.
A Celebration of Life dinner will be held at a later date at the home of Brandy Lopez in her hometown of South Bend, IN.

Gray Funeral Home of Clinton is assisting the McCoy family with arrangements.
