Lawrence Edmund Young

Lawrence Edmund Young age 82 of Clinton, SC passed away Thursday, October 25, 2018 at the Presbyterian Community in Clinton.
He was born in Clinton, SC and was the son of the late Frank Coleman and Lois Susan Adair Young.
Mr. Young was a 1958 graduate of Presbyterian College and member of the Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity. He was president of Clinton Realty and Insurance Company, Inc., former secretary and treasurer of Hopewell Game Preservation Club, member and treasurer of Clinton Museum Board, and a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Clinton. He also was a U.S. Army Veteran and retired from the S.C. National Guard as a Lieutenant Colonel after 24 years of service. He will be remembered as a well-known local town historian.
Mr. Young is survived by his daughter, Bee Young; a sister-in-law, Jo Young;
Jonelle Young Yow, Dr. Frank C. Young, III and Francis Young Morris and other numerous nieces, nephews, cousins; and special friends, Carroll Copeland, Bob Link, Steve Bishop, Wayne, Nancy and Mary Addison Morgan, Randolph Johnson and Mr. Joe Edwards.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Dr. Frank C. Young, Jr.
The family wishes to thank the staff of the Presbyterian Community for the care given to Lawrence while a resident of the Community.
A memorial service will be held Monday, October 29th at 1:00 p.m. at the Presbyterian Community Chapel in Clinton. The family will receive friends following the service in the Chapel Rotunda.
