Lawrence William “Bill” Bragg, Jr. ,age 80, of 10 Union St. Ext. died Thursday, December 22nd in the Lexington Medical Center.
He was born in Woodruff, S.C. and was a son of the late Lawrence William Bragg, Sr. and Irene Montjoy Bragg.
Mr. Bragg was retired from Cone Mills in Carlisle and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Whitmire. He also was a Navy Veteran of W.W. II and member of the Roseboro Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Sims Bragg of the home; three daughters, Kathy Fricks of Toccoa, GA, Susan Raines of Evans, GA and April Sharpe of Cayce; a sister, Dorothy Gaffney of Laurens; seven grandchildren, Ashley and Will Grant, Heather Poteat, Cameron and Zachary Raines, Stuart and Alexander Sharpe.
He is predeceased by a son, Lawrence William “Larry” Bragg, III and a daughter, Rhonda Bragg.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, December 24th at 11:00 a.m. in the First Baptist Church of Whitmire with burial in Whitmire Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
