Leon S. Rice, age 76, of 103 Reed Circle, died Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at the Wallace Thomson Hospital in Union.
He was born in Clinton and was a son of the late Ishmael and Viola Williams Rice.
Mr. Rice was a US Army Veteran and was retired from Oakland Mills in Newberry.
He is survived by his wife Alice Clark Rice of the home; his son Greg Rice (Tara) of Greenwood; his daughters Teresa Free (Stevie) of Newberry and Kim Shields (Bob) of Whitmire; his sister Brenda Rhoden of Hampton; six grandchildren, Cadee and Ida Shields, Steve Mundy, Elizabeth Harrison, Lily Claire and Max Rice and six great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a daughter Linda Kay Rice.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 19th at 2:00 p.m. at the Gray Funeral Home Chapel of Clinton.
The family will receive friends before the service from 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
