Linnie Redden Bell

Linnie Redden Bell, 75, of Joanna, SC, widow of George David Bell, passed away, Saturday, October 7, 2023 Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Born February 12, 1948 in Abbeville, SC, she was a daughter of the late Gene Davis Redden and Mettie Gambrell Mobley. Linnie served for more than 10 years as an associate at the Presbyterian College bookstore. She was a dedicated member of Breakthrough Tabernacle Church, actively participating in the girl's ministry. Her involvement also extended to the Girl Scouts, where she played a significant role.
Surviving are daughters, Susan Bell McDowell (Morris), and Tammy Baughman; her daughter-in-law, Lisa McCarty; brothers, Tommy Redden, and Robbie Redden; her sister, Lillie R. Nichols; a beloved grandson, Jimmie Wayne McFarland, III; 7 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and many adopted grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sons, Lewis E. McCarty and Christopher David Bell.
A Memorial Service will be held 2 PM, Saturday, October 21, 2023 at Breakthrough Tabernacle Church with Pastor Karl Mosier officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made in Lewis McCarty’s memory to Hospice & Palliative Care of the Piedmont, 408 W. Alexander Avenue., Greenwood, SC 29646.
