Lonnie Montjoy, age 53, of 1772 Boyd’s Mill Pond Rd., died Saturday, March 28, 2015, at his home.
He was born in Laurens and was the son of Edgar E. Montjoy of Laurens and the late Dorothy Sumeral Montjoy.
Mr. Montjoy was a member of Henderson Baptist Church.
He is survived by a son, Russell Montjoy (Jessica) of Laurens; six brothers, Bobby E. Montjoy (Darlene) of Laurens, David Montjoy (Jeannie) of Clinton, Steve A. Montjoy (Carolyn) of Candler, NC, Kenneth R. Montjoy (Janet) of Laurens, Donnie E. Montjoy of Columbia, and twin brother, Ronnie Montjoy (Jenny) of Laurens; two sisters, Kathy M. Harvey (Ray) and Susan M. Hughes (Johnny), both of Laurens; a grandson, Dean; a granddaughter, Abigail; and forty-nine nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 31, at 2:00 PM in the Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Laurens, with burial at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
