Loretta Carter

Loretta Carter, age 70, of 561 Willimon Dr. died Saturday January 7th in the Greenville Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Lockhart, S.C. and was a daughter of the late John Boyd Young, Sr. and Lorene McCloud Young.
Mrs. Carter was retired from Alice Manufacturing in Easley and was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are her husband, Allan Carter of the home; two sons, Duane “Stud” Johnson and Boyd R. “Dink” Johnson both of Clinton; two brothers, John B. “J.B.” Young, Jr. of Clover and Lewis R. “Skeeter” Young of Piedmont; sister, Lois Mahaffey of Clover; three grandchildren, Kristen Nelson, Anthony Johnson and Josh Johnson and a niece, Betty Jo South of Joanna.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Amy Elizabeth Johnson and a sister, Lessie Hodges.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, January 10th at 2:00 p.m. in the Gray Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Rosemont Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family will be at the home of her son, Stud Johnson, 303 Fairplace, Clinton.
