Louis Murphy age 95 of 700 Chestnut St., passed away Friday, Feb. 6th, 2015 at National Health Care of Clinton.
He was born in Union County and was a son of the late Toy Grier and Pearl Bobo Murphy.
Mr. Murphy retired from Kaywood Southern, was a member of the Lion’s Club and the American Legion. He was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Clinton and was a US Army veteran of WWII.
He was predeceased by his wife of 73 years, Elizabeth “Punk” Murphy; four brothers, Charles Murphy, Otis Murphy, Millard Murphy and Harold Murphy.
Surviving is a brother-in-law, John “Bill” Willingham and a sister-in-law, Callie Murphy both of Joanna and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, Feb. 8th at 3:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Clinton and entombment with Military Honors at Pinelawn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the church.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Clinton for Missions, P.O. Box 95, Clinton, SC 29325.
