Louis Owens

Louis Owens age 72 of 207 Camp St. passed away Monday, May 29th 2017 at his home.
He was born in Laurens and was a son of late George Enice Owens and the late Sara O. Robertson.
Louis was a gifted musician playing several instruments but his love was playing the guitar and singing country and gospel music. He was of the Presbyterian Faith and will be remembered as a caring and loving person.
Surviving is a daughter; brothers, Bennie (Carol) Owens, George Owens (Linda) all of Laurens, Mike Prater (Dorothy) of Columbia; one sister, Grace Lyons (Franklin) of Laurens; a special niece and caregiver, Carolyn Owens, several other special nieces and nephews and a good friend, Wayne Moore.
He was predeceased by a son, Brian Owens and brothers, Charles “Frog” Owens (Louise) and Jerry Owens (Betty Ann).
Graveside services will be conducted Thursday, June 1st at 3:00 P.M. at the Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will greet friends following the service at the cemetery.
The family will be at the home of his brother, Bennie Owens, 212 Amethyst Way, Laurens, SC 29360.
