Louise McGathey Waters
Louise McGathey Waters, age 83, widow of Prue D. Waters and formerly of 122 Pine St. died Thursday, April 10, 2014 in the NHC of Laurens.
She was born in Bath, SC and was the daughter of the late John Fred McGathey and Cora Lee McGathey Cox.
Mrs. Waters was a homemaker and attended the Lydia Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by six children, Marion Waters (Ann), Brenda Boyd (Frank), Doris Holtzclaw (Sam), Larry Waters, Becky Heaton (Terry), and Allen Waters (Ann); 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a grandson, Chad Boyd.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 3:00 p.m. in the Gray Funeral Home with interment in the Pinelawn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of National Healthcare of Laurens for their care of Mrs. Waters.
