Louis W. Butler, Jr., age 85, of 709 Shands St. died Wednesday, October 28, 2009 in the NHC of Clinton.
He was born in Lexington County and was the son of the late Louis W. Butler, Sr. and Katie Barnes Butler.
Mr. Butler was predeceased by his first wife, Ruby Presley Butler.
He was retired from Clinton Mills was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church and was a U.S. Navy veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby King Butler of the home; three sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne and Carol Butler of Clinton, Billy and Freda Butler of Myrtle Beach and Jerry and Anita Butler of Joanna; two step children, Martha Freeman of Clinton and Leonard White of Greenville; a brother, Johnny Butler of Alaska; a sister, Ruth Hughes of Laurens; 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 4:00 p.m. in the Gray Funeral Home Chapel with interment in the Pinelawn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
