Loyd “Hack” Taylor, age 76, of Gray Court went home to be with the lord November 21, 2018. Born July 16, 1942 to Loyd Taylor and Mary Strickland Taylor.
Loyd worked for American Security. He also worked many years in Clinton Mills and Joanna Mill. He loved fishing and trying his luck at scratch off lottery tickets, fast cars and playing fetch with their dog scooter. He also enjoyed Nascar and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years Linda Craine Taylor; his children, Betty Pulley (Jr.) of Gray Court, Linda Storay (Larry Rohrbaugh) of Simpsonville, Brenda Knight of Joanna, William Taylor (Sherry Sherwood) of Clinton and Kim Gagnon of Simpsonville; a sister, Christine Ozbirn (Chris) of Tuscumbia, AL; 16 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he is predeceased by his daughter, Debra Taylor; grandson, Marcus Johnson; two great grandchildren Ayden and Kynleigh Taylor and his sister Cathy Wright.
Graveside services will be held Friday, December 7, 2018 at 3:00 PM at Pinelawn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
The family would like to thank his Hospice nurses Laura and Lynn for their wonderful care and the Hospice House of Laurens County.
