Luke William Smith Jr.

August 21, 1951 — June 24, 2015

Luke William Smith, Jr., age 63, of 600 North Adair Street, passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at the Laurens County Hospital.
He was born in Clinton, SC and was the son of the late Luke William Smith, Sr. and the late Annie Merle Webb Smith.
Mr. Smith was retired from Whitten Center and was a former employee of Clinton Mills. He was a member of Davidson Street Baptist Church and was a member of the chain crew for Clinton High School and Presbyterian College.
He is survived by his wife, Joy Stanley Smith of the home; his sons, William Chad Smith of Clinton and Michael Jay Smith of Laurens; a daughter, Amanda Rebecca Fusco of Spartanburg; a brother, Harold Smith (Lillie) of West Union; a sister, Brenda Stephens (Hobart) of Greenville; a half-sister, Frances Stansell of Pickens; and seven grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a half-brother, Charles Smith.
Funeral services will be held at Davidson Street Baptist Church on Saturday, June 27th at 11:00 a.m. with burial in Pinelawn Memory Gardens with Military Honors.
The family will receive friends Friday, June 26th from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
