Mabel Aughtry Dillard

Mabel Aughtry Dillard, age 87 of 768 Plum Rd. died Saturday, August 29, 2009 at the Laurens County Hospice, Hospice House in Clinton.
She was born in Union County, SC and was the last surviving child of the late Zach and Maybelle Robins Aughtry.
Mrs. Dillard was the co-founder of Joe’s Market and was a member of the Whitmire United Methodist Church where she was a former Sunday School Teacher.
Surviving are her two sons, Joe H. Dillard, Jr., Michael A. Dillard, Sr. and wife, Virginia all of Whitmire and four grandchildren, Lauren D. Thigpen, Merrie D. Wright, Michael A. Dillard, Jr., Joseph H. Dillard III.
She was predeceased by her husband, Joe. H. Dillard, Sr.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, Aug. 30th at 3:00 p.m. at the Whitmire United Methodist Church with burial in the Whitmire Cemetery.
The family will receive friends before the service, from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the church.
