Mac C. Duncan, age 94, of 114 York Street, passed away on Saturday, October 4, 2014 at the Hospice House of Laurens County.
He was born in Greer, SC and was a son of the late Robert Edgar and Claire Brown Duncan.
Mr. Duncan was General Manager of the Joanna Stores and later owned Mac Duncan Furniture in Clinton; he was a WWII Army Air Corps Veteran serving in CBI, China, Burma, India, a member of the 10th ABCD and the 14th Air Force “Flying Tigers,” flying over the “Hump.” He was a member of the American Legion Post 56, a charter member of Joanna Lions Club and Cornerstone Baptist Church of Clinton.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Earlene Fowler Duncan of the home; his daughter Claire Trammell (Drew) of Clinton; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his daughters Maxine Morgan and Linda Lawson, three brothers and one sister.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 6th at 3:00 PM at Pinelawn Memory Gardens Mausoleum with Military Honors.
The family will receive friends after the service on Monday.
