The Angels rejoiced on Friday, May 16, 2008 at the homecoming of Mae K. Bryson of 210 York Street, Clinton, SC.
Born on Christmas Day, December 25, 1923 in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Vernon T. and Belle B. King of Lyman, SC.
Mrs. Bryson was retired from Whitten Center.
She leaves behind her devoted husband of 60 years, James D. Bryson and two beloved children, a daughter, Susan B. Potts and her husband Jimmy of Clinton, and a son, David Bryson and his wife Sylvia of Piedmont.
She will also be missed by her two granddaughters and two grandsons, Nikki B. Scott of Piedmont and Ashley B. Bacon and her husband Lewis of Homewood, AL;, Jay Potts of Rock Hill and Lee Potts of Newberry. She also had seven great grandchildren, Lara and Sophie Scott, Olivia and Caroline Harmon, and Jessica, Sarah and Tyler Bacon.
Mrs. Bryson is also survived by her four brothers, Paul King (Madge) of Lyman, Talmadge King (Mae) of Spartanburg, Marshall King (Betty) of Lyman, and Rev. Harold (Hazel) King of Inman.
Funeral services celebrating her life here will be conducted at Davidson Street Baptist on Sunday, May 18th at 3:30 p.m., where she was a faithful Charter member for 48 years. The burial will follow immediately in Pinelawn Memory Gardens.
The family is at the home at 210 York Street, Clinton and will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:30 p.m. in the church social hall of Davidson Street Baptist Church before the service.
