Mae Smith Nelson

Mae Smith Nelson age 96, widow of Harwood D. Nelson, entered into eternal rest on February 4, 2009 in Clinton.
She was born in Saluda County and was a daughter of the late Bill L. Smith and Ida Florence Butler Smith.
Mrs. Nelson lived most of her life in Clinton. As a homemaker, she had a special love of flowers and was an active member of the Carolina Wren Garden Club. She received great joy in her service in the Fedlis Sunday School Class at Clinton First Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son, William Nelson and wife Patsy of Clinton; two daughters, Tonie Poe and husband Lyndel, of Hartsville, SC, and Jean N. Rogge of Summerville, SC; one grandson; five granddaughters; nine great grandchildren; four nieces; and one nephew.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, Feb. 7th at 11:30 a.m. with burial in Rosemont Cemetery.
