Mamie Lee Wright Babb

Mamie Lee Wright Babb, age 100 of 230 Roper Mountain Rd. and widow of Samuel Pryor Babb, died Saturday, Feb 17th at her home.
She was born Oct. 10, 1906 in Clinton SC and was a daughter of the late James Lee and Bertha Beatrice Templeton Wright. She was a granddaughter of the late R.Z. Wright and Mary Cantey Villeponteux Lee Wright.
Mrs. Babb was a life-long member of the First Baptist Church of Clinton and attended Greenville Women’s College where she was a music major.
Surviving are her son, James Wright Babb, a retired Naval Officer of Greenwood; a daughter, Virginia Babb Marin of Greenville; seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and a sister, Sara Wright Wade of Mount Dora, FL.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, Feb. 23rd at 11:00 a.m. in the Gray Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the First Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 95, Clinton, SC 29325 or to Bridges for Peace, International Headquarters, P.O. Box 1093, Jerusalem, Israel.
