Margaret Elizabeth Steinbinder, age 90, former resident of Brevard, NC died February 1, 2009 at the Presbyterian Home in Clinton.
She was born April 4, 1918 and was the daughter of the late Horace Hays Gamble and Georgia Bentley Gamble.
Mrs. Steinbinder was a 1940 graduate of Oberlin College and served as a physical therapist at Walter Reed Army Hospital in Washington, DC during WWII.
In 1943 she married then Army Air Force Captain John Joseph Steinbinder who died in 2002. A son, John Eric Steinbinder, died in 1961.
She is survived by her daughter, Karen Holyer and son-in-law, Dr. Robert Holyer; four grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
A memorial service will be conducted in the Presbyterian Home Chapel on Saturday, Feb. 7th at 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Presbyterian Home Infirmary, 801 Musgrove Street, Clinton, SC 29325.
