Margaret Inez Lollar

Margaret Inez Lollar age 71 of 3388 Burnt Mill Creek Rd., passed away Tuesday, May 9, 2006.
She was born in Starkville, MI, and was a daughter of the late Hannibal A. and Margaret R. Jordan Echols.
Mrs. Lollar was a graduate of Starkville High School, Class of 1953, received a B.S. degree in education at Mississippi State University in 1956, as well as a M.S. degree from Clemson in 1975. She taught school in Dallas, Texas from 1956 to 1957. After becoming a resident of Laurens in 1965 she taught at Ford School for 26 years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Laurens, as well as, a member of the Wesley Sunday School Class and a former 1st and 6th grade Sunday school teacher. She was also a member of the Alpha Delta Kappa sorority.
She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Hubert C. Lollar; three sons, Leonard A. Lollar and wife Katherine of Kwajalein Atoll R.M.I., David S. Lollar and wife Mary of Fountain Inn, Robert G. Lollar and wife Selena of Cayce; two brothers, W. Sidney Echols of Hortonville, WI, E. Joel Echols of Florence, MI; a sister, Dorothy Brooks Stephens of Tallahassee, FL; and five grandchildren, Erik, Sara, Alex, Lauren and Lindsay Lollar.
Funeral service will be conducted Saturday, May 13th at 2:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Laurens by Rev. Bill Rogers. The family will gather in the fellowship hall of the church from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. before the services. Burial will follow in the Forest Lawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of Laurens County Hospital for their loving care of Margaret.
