Margaret J. Snelgrove Tucker

Margaret J. Snelgrove Tucker, age 66 of 401 Byrnes Street, after only 16 months of her battle with colon cancer went to be with her Savior on February 10, 2009. We celebrate the life of this very brave lady.
Margaret was born November 27, 1942 and was the daughter of Mary Snelgrove of Clinton and the late J. B. Snelgrove.
She was a 1961 graduate of Clinton High School, attended business school in Greenville and was an honor graduate of Piedmont Technical College. During her earlier years, she worked as receptionist/secretary to Dr. McFadden in Joanna. Later she was a stay at-home mom and then was employed at Whitten Center for over 16 years working in the activities area. She enjoyed her days at Whitten and has maintained many friendships. She enjoyed music, dancing and writing.
She is survived by two children, Tyler Tucker of Newberry and Daphne Tucker of Joanna; two grandchildren, Madison Tucker and Derrec Becker; a sister, Rose Thomas and husband, Bob of Clinton, a brother, John and wife, Frances Snelgrove of Clinton and a special lifetime friend, Phyllis Sublett of Clinton.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in the Gray Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Pinelawn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends immediately after the committal service Saturday.
