Marian "Snookie" Kirkland Davis

Marian “ Snookie” Kirkland Davis, age 79, loving wife of the late Dr. Judson Davis for 55 years, passed away on Thursday, December 28, 2006 in Atlanta, Georgia.
Marian was born in Columbia, South Carolina and was the daughter of the late Marian and Benjamin Kirkland of Columbia, South Carolina.
She was a graduate of the University of South Carolina and was a member of the Tri-Delta Sorority.
Marian Davis was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Clinton, South Carolina where she was an active member of the hospitality committee and a faithful visitor to the Presbyterian Homes of Clinton.
Surviving are her two daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy and Terry McGuirk of Atlanta, Georgia and Barbara and Danny Philpot of Alpharetta, Georgia; five grandchildren, Meggie McGuirk, Terry McGuirk, Missy McGuirk, Mary McGuirk and Parker Philpot.
Most importantly she was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother and a devoted servant of Jesus Christ.
Memorial services will be conducted on Tuesday, Jan. 2 at 1:00 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Clinton. The family will receive friends at the home on 300 Cedar Street.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, 410 East Carolina Avenue, Clinton, SC 29325 or to the CHAMPS Program, 503 South Broad Street, Clinton, SC 29325.
