Marion Pope Oxner, age 81 of 602 N. Main St. died Tuesday, April 1st at his home.
He was born in Kinards, SC and was a son of the late Boyce B. and Mary V. Gordon Oxner.
Mr. Oxner was retired from E. L. Mansure, served in the Merchant Marines during WWII and was a U.S. Army Veteran. He was also a member of Epworth United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Jacquelyn B. Oxner of the home; children, Marion P. Oxner, Jr. and wife, Rhonda of Montgomery, AL, Richard G. Oxner and wife, Lisa of Clinton; Virginia O. Oakley and husband, Tommy of Clinton; an adopted daughter, Ashley Oxner of Gray Court; a sister, Hilda Montjoy of Simpsonville; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be conducted Friday, April 4th at 2:00 p.m. at Pinelawn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
