Mary “Eve” Evelyn Shirley Dixon, age 81, of 408 Friar Tuck Way, passed away Monday, October 16, 2017, at her home.
She was born in Spartanburg, SC, and was a daughter of the late Grace McCraw Harris and the late William Albert Shirley.
Mrs. Dixon was a past Matron of the Eastern Star and a past Grand Warder of the James B. Parrott #9 of Joanna. She was a member of Bellview Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Edward Parrison Dixon; her son, Robert “Bobby” Newman and wife, Teri, of Spartanburg; her three daughters, Becky O’Riley and husband, Butch, of Missouri, Anita Dixon of Spartanburg, and Angela Franklin of Inman; her brother, Mitchell Harris of Spartanburg; her sister, Marlene Wilds of Moore; twelve grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Dixon was predeceased by a daughter, Pamela Payton.
A memorial service will be held at Bellview Baptist Church on Sunday, November 5, 2017, at 2 PM.
