Mary Hanks Edge

Mary Hanks Edge age 88 of 745 Hanks Rd. and widow of Alvin C. Edge passed away Wednesday, April 2nd 2014 at the Hospice of Laurens County, Hospice House.
Mrs. Edge enjoyed reading, puzzles and being the host of many different National Park Campgrounds. She was a member of the Bellview Baptist Church.
She was born in Anderson, SC and was a daughter of the late John Franklin and Nellie Jamison Hanks.
Surviving are a son, Lynn Edge and wife, Sherry of Laurens; two daughters, Sandra E. Hill of Gray Court, Susan Hutchinson and husband, Fulmer of Pigeon Forge, TN; two brothers, James Alvin Hanks and wife, Rebecca and Richard P. Hanks and wife, Lucretia both of Laurens; two sisters, Nancy Beal and husband, Lamar of Ninety Six and Zenobia McMakin and husband, Johnny of Greenville; five grandchildren, Brittany Edge, Jason Hutchinson, Crystal H. Lelfer, Shelby W. Leopard, Brian Tumblin; four great grandchildren, Ryan Wilson, Kyle Wilson, Justin Tumblin, Dalton Lelfer and two great-great grandsons, Vincent and Liam Wilson.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, April 5th at 2:00 p.m. at Bellview Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends Friday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family will be at the home of her son, Lynn Edge, 773 Hanks Rd, Laurens, SC.
