Mary Ellen Wilson Freeman

A wonderful lady Mrs. Mary Ellen Gertrude Freeman widow of the late Arthur Eugene Freeman passed away surrounded by loved ones on May 3, 2013 at the Laurens County Hospice House.
Mary was the daughter of the late Lewis Franklin Wilson and Kathleen Bull Tyner.
Mary is survived by her three children, Deborah (Billy) Creswell of Clinton, Lisa (Allen) Cathey of Clinton and Timothy Freeman of Greenville and her grandchildren, Drake Cathey of Clinton, Lewis and Fariah Freeman of Forest City, NC; also her brothers, Franklin (Helen) Wilson of Laurens, Lewis (Elaine) Wilson, Jr. of Clinton, Charles Wilson of Clinton, and her sisters, Inez Roberts of Hickory, NC, Ima Jean (Michael) Blackwell of Bradley, Sandra (Sam) McCall of Mauldin, Anita (Jayon) McKee of Clinton.
Mary was a homemaker who loved her family especially her three beautiful grandchildren, Mary loved Jesus, gospel music and ministering to others. In her spiritual career she was involved in prison ministry, nursing home ministry and children’s church ministry. Mary supported many other ministries especially those that involved feeding and educating children.
Mary was blessed with many good friends and enjoyed making memories with them. Mary will be missed by all that loved and knew her.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, May 6th at 2:00 p.m. at the Elizabeth St. Church of God with burial in Rosemont Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family will be at the home 1171 A.B. Jacks Road, Clinton, SC.
