Mary L. Matthews, age 83, of 1911 Red Oak Park, died Sunday, September 21, 2014 at the Pruitt Health of Blythewood.
She was born in Columbia and was the daughter of the late Herbert L. and Pearl Mae Birchmore Bryant.
Mrs. Matthews was retired from the Restaurant Industry and was of the Baptist Faith.
She is survived by a special nephew Leland Nelson (Jeannie Browning); her brother U.G. Bryant of Florence; her sisters Jeanette Jernigin, Mozelle Nelson and Joyce Chavis; her special friends Courtney and Oliver Landis; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brothers Tommy Bryant, James Bryant and Lewis Bryant; and her sisters Thelma Lofton, Hazel Medlin and Elizabeth Bryant.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 24th at 4:00 p.m. at Rosemont Cemetery.
The family will receive friends immediately after the service.
The family will be at 96 Sunset Blvd, Clinton, SC 29325.
