Mary Ann Pukavich Owens, a faithful servant of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ went to be with Him on May 13, two weeks shy of her 82nd birthday.
Born and raised in Elizabeth, NJ, she was the daughter of William and Caroline Pukavich, both immigrants from Lithuania. After graduating St. Mary's high school, Mary Ann attended St. Francis School of Nursing in Trenton NJ, graduating as a registered nurse.
Moving to Hendersonville in 1974, Mary Ann was a wonderful, loving wife, mother and homemaker. She later worked part-time at Pardee Hospital, Carolina Village and then Elizabeth house before retiring.
Mary Ann was very involved at Immaculate Conception Church over the years. She was a Lay Reader, Eucharistic Minister and part of the Ladies Guild and Altar Guild.
She was predeceased by her brother Ronald Pukavich and son William (Billy) Owens. Mary Ann is survived by her devoted husband of 56 years, William (Bill) Owens, daughter Carolyn and her husband David Anderson and grandchildren Patrick and Elizabeth Owens of Sullivan IL., she also leaves behind her beloved beagle named Bagel.
There will be a funeral mass on Friday, 26th of May at 2 PM in the downstairs Chapel at Immaculate Conception Church in Hendersonville. Interment of ashes will be June 10th at 11:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Clinton, SC.
