Mary E. Simpson, age 91, of Lugoff, SC, was the widow of John C. Singleton of Conway, SC and Paul A. Simpson, Jr of Clinton, SC.
She was the oldest daughter of thirteen children of the late William Duff and Etta Causey Edge of Conway, SC.
Mary was a member of Trinity Baptist Church of Lugoff, SC and the Order of the Eastern Star. Mary enjoyed being with family, singing, and gardening. She brought many smiles and joy through her employment at the Pavilion Vending at Myrtle Beach, as a cafeteria worker for Laurens County School District 56, and through the Foster Grandparent Program of South Carolina.
She is survived by daughters Emily (Ray) Morgan of Portsmouth, VA; Patricia (Benny) Young of Lugoff, SC; Debby (Al) Young of Clinton, SC; and son Billy (Kris) Singleton of Manitowoc, WI; 2 step daughters Jaunice Lee, and Louvenia Mills, and sister Pauline Bryant, all of Myrtle Beach, SC; 13 grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
She is predeceased by 7 brothers, 4 sisters, and 1 stepson.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, November 20th, at 3 P.M. at Hurricane Baptist Church, Clinton, SC with burial in Pinelawn Memory Gardens, the family will receive friends one hour before the service at the Hurricane Baptist Church Family Life Center.
